EICMA 2024 saw Honda throw off the wraps on a new generation of high-efficiency , high-output boosted engines . The first of these was at the show , a 75-degree V3 configuration with an electrical compressor / supercharger to give low to mid-range boost , irrespective of revs . Without the need of an intercooler , Honda claim the design means a slim profile and great torque response can be delivered alongside efficiency and impressive output to meet the demands of ICE engines in the future . A boosted V3 in a sports chassis is a very tantalising concept , let ’ s hope it happens as it should sound glorious . Honda also unveiled some new EV urban models but the new ICE engine showed the Japanese giant sees the internal combustion engine will still be a player in our market .
