HONDA 500S GET NEW LOOKS AND NAMES FOR 2024
Honda is shaking up its model lineup in
2024 with a host of new models joining the lineup , including a new 1000cc Hornet for the first time in years . But it ’ s the incredibly popular 500cc lineup that is seeing some of the most dramatic changes . For 2024 , we say goodbye to the CB500X , and a hearty hello to the NX500 . In a similar vein , the CB500 now aligns itself with the Hornet family by adding the Hornet moniker to its official model name .
According to Honda , NX means ‘ New X-over ’ which seems to be exactly what the new NX500 is . The incoming NX500 addresses some of the complaints that riders had of the CB500X . While the cast alloy wheels remain , they are now 1.5kg lighter than on the outgoing CB500X , while Honda has finally dropped the aging inverted LCD display in favour of a full-colour TFT for both the NX500 and the CB500 Hornet .
