But put all these tiddlers together so there is a critical mass , a sense of ridiculousness results that involuntarily causes smiles to break out , not only on the riders ’ faces , but also on the faces of the bystanders . feeble and even those that didn ’ t make it all the way around the 24km course had fun , which is the sole intent of the day . There is no entry fee , no formality and few awards . In addition to the two Cyclemaster stinkwheels , a Power Pak auto-cycle , three Zundapps , two Velo Solexs , two Francis Barnetts , Mobylette and DKW mopeds , there were numerous examples of early Japanese step-throughs , including at least eight Honda ‘ Postie ’ bikes .
