THE SKINNY The Alltrhike is a very pleasant machine to cruise around the local gravel back roads. On gravel and tighter tarmac roads it feels light and not at all slow, it covers ground very efficiently. I normally ride a KTM 1290 and, by comparison, the KTM feels MUCH heavier and requires heaps more effort and mental energy to control, not to mention its outrageous consumption of rear tyres … I see this appealing to many riders and not just for the price point. It is genuinely capable of touring NZ and all the highways and byways we have to offer. While it is not the best mount for the more extreme adventure riders it will happily deliver the goods for what most riders a capable of, and, besides, be honest with yourself – it is probably better for your stress levels to be laying in a freezing river crossing under a $ 10k bike than a $ 40k machine. The Moto Morini Alltrhike 450 is an excellent and sensible choice as an all-round Adventure bike for NZ riding.
