SMOOTH OPERATOR Riding off I was immediately impressed by the smoothness and responsiveness of the 449cc parallel twin with it’ s V-twin-alike 270-degree firing order. The power delivery is genuinely perky. Dual balance shafts and what looks to be excellent build quality are likely responsible for its superb smoothness. Maximum power is 33kW( 44.8hp), with torque peaking at 44Nm. Switchable TC and ABS complete what is really quite a high roller package. Flexibility is a strength of this motor, with the 450 flowing along effortlessly on single track with few gear changes required because of the wide rev range. On the open road the sixspeed gearing well suits the amount and style of power delivered. The open road speed limit is maintained easily and a solid headwind is of little consequence. There is even reasonable passing power in hand.
