Baldassarri
Locatelli sixth place qualifying position that had given him good grid position in race one and the sprint race.
YAMAHA In the Yamaha camp, Locatelli’ s failure to fire has been balanced to some extent by stronger than expected performances from Vierge. Loka looked much improved in Race One, taking out sixth spot but wasn’ t quite able to back that up in the sprint race or race two, although he was able to take out top ten positions in both. Vierge on the other hand qualified well but was well off the pace in race one although he knuckled down on Sunday to bring it home in sixth in the sprint race and seventh in race two. All up, the team scored thirty-eight points for the weekend, equally split between the two riders. Both riders scoring points in all six races is a positive for the team and there’ s a case to be made to say that Vierge is doing what’ s expected of him in his first year on the Yamaha but it’ s also reasonable to think that the team will be asking more of Locatelli in upcoming rounds.
