Josep Garcia took the double EnduroGP and Enduro1 class victories in his home GP event. On the next step of the podium in EnduroGP on Day 1 was none other than Kiwi enduro maestro, Hamish MacDonald( Go Kiwi!). MacDonald also just happened to win the Enduro2 class for the day, as he does. It is turning out to be a battle between Garcia and his teammate, Andrea Verona, in EnduroGP while Garcia is stretching out a handsome lead in Enduro1 class. Enduro2 sees Verona lead from Zach Pichon with NZ’ s Hamish MacDonald in third. In the timesheets, a small handkerchief would comfortably cover the top ten riders, the margins are well within the nitty-gritty department but Josep Garcia just seems to be able to pull out the few seconds required and does it often. So while his results say dominant, it is a tight tussle and there is a long way to go yet.
SUZUKI’ S NEW FARM MULTI-TOOL
It is 4am on the farm, and the work bike must go, irrespective of rain, sleet or tornado. It needs to work like a beast of burden, not complain and do it all again tomorrow, or tonight if calving kicks off. The all-new Suzuki DR150 carries the tradition of a generation on its carrier without fanfare or drumrolls, it just works whenever you do. It isn’ t a complex beast, just nuggety. It is aircooled, puts out an honest 11.8hp at 8000rpm and 11.6Nm of torque with its target range in the low and mid, as in work. It has electric start as well as kick, should you leave the lights on and the engine off. Just another work essential so when things get rough, the DR150 is just tough, through and through.
