Opoutere sunset on the last night
I’ m home by 3pm. Showered and unpacked by half past. I’ m very grateful to be here, in this home in the South Pacific. I travelled 5559km and 5500 of them in silly bliss. Thanks to my faithful Honda Africa Twin, the perfect touring bike for NZ roads. Thanks to Lance, Jeff and Rob, my faithful riding companions, top blokes all. The bonus?- not a single ticket or mechanical hiccup. A Honda Hikoi of Happiness indeed.
It started with a plan, that plan was basically no plan, just the opportunity to change my mind and go where ever I decided at the time, for whatever reason I chose. Yes, I know it was selfish, but I am beyond grateful for the experience and the relationships I rekindled through being able to be there – in the moment with my bike and roads in the best country on earth.
Lance, bikes, wild things
