OUR BIKES

I bought my new bike in November 2020 . I say my new bike , but also the bike I have not shut up about since the launch in late 2019 . Yeah ... I know ... I wasn ’ t even on the launch , but the Tenere 700 just floored me . So ... I picked up my almost new Yamaha Tenere 700 with only 1800km on the clock back in mid-December . The first big ride was the road home from Auckland to Wellington on the day I picked it up . I initially had big ideas of taking in the Forgotten World Highway , Vinegar hill and Pahiatua track on the way home . But once on the road , time seemed to speed up and I just needed to belt down SH1 to get home in a timely manner .

INITIAL MODS With a few good adventures planned or the summer , I set about researching , ordering and installing some essential adventure mods . The first of which were the Outback Motortek crash bars and skid plate , which have proved their worth many times already . I installed a Ventura Evo rack to take care of weekend luggage and a Quadlock bar mount for my phone / navigation . Everything else on the bike remained stock , which to me , speaks volumes about how suited to adventure the T7 really is .
