I BOUGHT ONE I’ ve been in the motorcycle industry for decades and have owned or sold just about every brand, so I don’ t tend to form early loyalties. That’ s why this bike surprised me. What started as a casual“ send me one to try” quickly turned into a“ I’ m taking this home” inside two weeks— which says a lot about the package Moto Morini has put together. At 5’ 7”, adventure bikes can be a challenge, especially off road, but the Alltrhike impressed with its accessible seat height and balanced ergonomics. Being able to get both feet flat on the ground gave me instant confidence. Out on the road and trail, the bike delivers. The handling is playful and predictable, sitting neatly between my two existing adventure bikes at opposite ends of the spectrum. The 270-degree parallel twin engine is smooth, eager to rev, and flexible enough across the range that I never felt short of power. Combined with its price point, the overall value is exceptional. Although many riders will be perfectly satisfied with the standard specification, I always personalise my bikes. The stock ergonomics favour shorter riders; taller riders may need to wait for accessory options to
arrive. With the engine and chassis sharing DNA with another well known 450 twin, performance upgrades are already available and proven. My first priority is weight reduction for more technical riding. I’ ve already removed around 10kg with minimal cost, and more will follow to offset the addition of essential protection— hand guards and lightweight engine and fairing guards are first on the list. Suspension and ergonomics will be next. The fully adjustable stock setup is impressive, but when pushed harder, it becomes overly firm and slightly coarse. I’ ll begin with fine tuning, and if needed, move to re-valving and re-springing to suit my weight and riding style. For most riders— especially given its LAMS status— the standard suspension will be more than adequate. Power modifications will be modest, a high flow foam air filter with an added pre-filter, removal of any airbox restrictions, and possibly an exhaust change, although the stock system sounds surprisingly good. In the meantime, I’ ll keep riding, exploring, and enjoying what has proven to be a capable, engaging, and genuinely well balanced midweight adventure machine. MIKE CIBULISKIS
