SECOND OPINION Well, watch out manufacturers in the hot 450 adventure sector! The Moto Morini 450 Alltrhike has arrived, and it’ s a terrifically handsome bike. Stylish and clean-lined, it’ s a pleasure to the eye. Its only difficult feature is the unwieldy name. I’ m sure it made sense to someone, and is it truly any more peculiar than Fat Boy( redolent of Nagasaki) or the 50’ s French bike- Genial Lucifer?( You’ d buy one for the name alone- if you could find one). The Italians thought it was informative to put‘ All Terrain’ and‘ Hike’ together and bugger the spare floating‘ r’… So, Alltrhike it is. Yep, it sounds like should have been in the original Transformers movie, and has a semi-futuristic style, so name be damned, it’ s a great addition to the NZ motorcycle fleet- and pretty bloody affordable with it. I loved riding this bike, and it welcomed a bit of wrist action, feeling terrifically stable and tractable in the shingly bits, with enough power – 45 horses- to pull you forward, when you need a bit of shove.
