WHAT’ S IN A NAME? First up, let’ s address the Alltrhike name- it’ s certainly, umm, unique. It’ s supposedly a combination of All-terrain and Hike, but pronounced as All-trike. To be honest, I think I prefer the name the US market bikes get of‘ Vettore’, but, hey, it’ s the machine itself that really matters, not the name. I like the look of the Alltrhike, especially in the matt gunmetal, silver and red of our test bike. It’ s slimmer in the tank and more open between tank and dash and screen area than the built-in and wider rally-look of the CF Moto. This evokes a sense of lightness and flick-ability when twisting through the backroads and feels more natural when standing on gravel road sections. But looks can be deceiving, as the Alltrhike is supposedly a few kilograms heavier than the CF Moto, likely due to a standard and beefy centre-stand, carrying more fuel( 18.5L vs 17.5L), having some grunty passenger grab rails and tank tie down hardware. I like the latter as it’ s something unique and appears nicely robust. It’ s also very practical and will allow all sorts of tank bag options to be strapped down without fear of tank scratches. The lights, with daytime running lights, and high front fender provide a goodlooking front end and the overall fit and finish and build quality looks good. Fire it up and there’ s that wonderful burble created by the 270-degree crank, giving a V-twin-esque soundtrack. Gearing seems to be as it is in the 450MT, with around 5600rpm at 100km / h. It really is a fun engine to hustle up and down through the gears. The only negative being a bit of a bog spot between 4 and 5k, the typical emissions hole. The‘ bar, seat, peg triangle is good and the standing position excellent, especially with the rubber peg inserts removed. Bar position is also adjustable, and pegs can be moved down, so you should be able to get the fit just right. At 840mm, the standard seat height should be accessible to most riders. The passenger seat is separate and height adjustable, so this could mean a better fit can be achieved for passengers vs the single piece seat on a 450MT.
