LAENGENFELDER- COMING THROUGH IN MX2!

Red Bull KTM rider Simon Laengenfelder was down in MX2 qualifying but certainly not out. A crash saw him DNF and start 22nd in the gate for the first moto. Undeterred, he started well, showed fantastic pace and before long was leading the race. From there it was a show of precision riding and he was never really under any doubt for the win. After winning the second moto and the round, Laengenfelder admitted that his pushing too hard the day before left him hurting, but winning a round is sure to ease the discomfort as he leads after Round One.

Laengenfelder said,“ A great weekend but I wouldn’ t say perfect. Yesterday hurt. I was perhaps being too aggressive … but I came back from the outside to take that 1-1. Super-happy. The bike was working great, and a lot of work went into this. I really want to thank the KTM team.”
