with my performance there because I made a few small mistakes. Even with the championship wrapped up, I wanted to finish the night the right way, so I put the pressure on myself to win the final race and take the overall. To win the championship and the overall here in front of the home crowd is something I’ m incredibly proud of. Massive credit to the team for all their hard work this season, and thanks to everyone for the support – number six feels amazing.” After the final round in France, in which Bolt was absent, Jonny Walker secured second overall:“ Tonight in France we wrapped up the final round of the championship with second overall on the night and second overall in the championship. I broke my hand at the first one, pushed through the next round, and tonight I picked up a rib injury in the first race which made it hard to even take a deep breath. So to still come away with second overall in the championship is something I’ m really proud of. It’ s been a big effort from the whole team and I’ m grateful for all the support along the way.” Taking great form into the Hard Enduro realm, Bolt knows that it will be tough to ward off Walker who revels in the Hard Enduro environment but with national pride as well as interBrit pride on the line, more bar-banging is the outlook for summer in the northern hemisphere.
