THE RUN HOME Leaving the lake, quickly scooting across the gravel( which ended all too soon), crossing the river over the one lane bridge and heading up out of the valley through the twisties, the sun was out helping the roads to dry out. Across all these riding surfaces, the BSA was a lot of fun. Well, as much fun as you can have using the engine only up to 3500rpm. The Pirelli Scorpions hung on in there, gripping surprisingly well in the tight corners, being well‘ scuffed in’ by this point.
BACK-TO-BASICS RETRO COOL All too soon, I was back on the highway being passed by cars. The journey around the backside of Mt. Taranaki on the high road was easy and relaxed, so I took some time to pause and look at some of the bike’ s features. The retro tail light is a cool look at the rear of the machine and the duck beak on the other end gives the bike that scrambler look, as does the brace across the handlebars.
