the key to both open ( and close ) them , I found them easy to use . There ’ s a ‘ traffic light ’ system which tells you if they ’ re locked and loaded ready to ride , which should prevent anything falling off - they can only be locked in place . Fitting the pannier is easy - just locate the clips / dowels at the bottom and then push them towards the bike , you ’ ll feel them click into place . Taking them off requires the key to be inserted into the lock and turned , then the lever flicked to release the lock . It ’ s all very easy , even if you don ’ t listen to the instructions . I ’ ve done 100km / h or so on pretty rough dirt roads , including some hits that have serioulsy rocked me , but they ’ ve been solid - I looked around to make sure they were still there , but they cling on tenaciously .
THE SKINNY Triumph ’ s panniers offer a solid build , rugged good looks , are easy to use and can be keymatched to your ignition key . They are priced at the higher end of the market but you do get what you pay for . BEN WILKINS
