It seems a bit like KTM forgets its other legions of fans on its White and Red branded bikes when it comes to organising events for them , but thankfully this looks like it ’ s changing with the Australian Husky Trek making a return this year . While KTM Australia and New Zealand Marketing Manager , Rosie Lalonde , gave Kiwi Rider the ol ’ ‘ watch this space ’ when asked if the format will make its way across the Tasman , the Husky Trek looks like something Kiwi Husqvarna enthusiasts would gladly get stuck in to . The Husky Trek is an evolution of last year ’ s 701 Enduro Trek thanks to the release of the new Norden 901 and is run in a similar fashion to the insanely popular KTM Adventure Rallye – that being a multi-day adventure with the proviso that entrants are exclusively riding Husqvarna 701 Enduro or Norden 901 models . The main route will be achievable for first-time adventurers with a little bit of off-road experience . The optional hard routes keep things spicy for riders who want to push the limits of their bikes and themselves . With a wait and see order in place to find out if the Husky Trek formula will make its way here , we are incredibly hopeful that this awesome bit of community outreach by Husqvarna cements itself as an equal to the KTM Adventure Rallye .
