the track , I was ready to twist the throttle on the black beauty and see what it was all about . My first impression was that Triumph has done a truly great job of designing a bike and connecting every part of the bike together into a seamless masterpiece of engineering . The ergonomics , motor , suspension , brakes , clutch etc all work in harmony with each other . Each component complimenting the next to give a flawless feel that the rider can do no wrong on the bike . The engine is buttery smooth and will lug a gear higher with good torque in the slippery spots with no worries , it then slides into a broad mid-range and , if needed , pulls even harder without signing off all the way up to the rev limiter . It is an engine that will be rewarding for any style of rider . Whether you like to smoothly lug , roll the power on in the mid-range or snap the throttle off the thing , the TF 250-X motor delivers . I found the handling to be neutral and very versatile , which is to my liking and quite possibly the best aspect of this bike . What I mean by that is the bike has no issue with being ridden any way the rider wants . Be that steering with the rear wheel and drifting around the track , or , once the track started to dry out a bit and traction allowed , the bike was equally comfortable with nimbly darting to the inside . All you have to do is look in the direction you want to go , and it feels like the bike will lead you there . It ’ s stable at high speed yet quick to turn in at low speeds . The KYB suspension is very balanced front to back with both ends working equally well with no diving or squatting . The track was quite smooth but gave a good opportunity to test out bottoming resistance which was good . This character is refreshing as it makes you feel like a pro . At 180cm tall , the ergonomics feel spot on for me . The bike has a good rider triangle ( handlebar , foot peg , seat position ) and was part of the reason I felt so comfortable pushing it from the get-go . The componentry is top tier . The Brembo clutch / brake combo is unmatched with tool
