For video on the allnew 250 head to thedirt . co . nz to get a more optimum rider sag . These bikes were set to a stock setting , which turned out to be well suited for the Ardmore track . The easy natured jumps and sweeping turns of the track played into the hands of the bike , and just like in the US , I was instantly comfortable with the bikes handling , ergo ’ s and feedback . This is a trait that every single rider will notice and enjoy about the TF 250-X – just how easy it is to ride straight away . And with the number of riders there , we snuck in about 10 minutes and had to pull it in for a while . Coincidently , about the exact time I was starting to get into that groove where you think you ’ re the quickest guy out there – you know the one . About 40 minutes later it was time for round two , and I used this 10-minute session to remind myself how good this engine is . It ’ s not the strongest , most powerful , loudest or snappiest , but it ’ s the best all round 250cc engine that I have had the pleasure of riding . It ’ s strong down low ,

you can lug it in a gear higher , it ’ s snappy in the mid-range , and it revs out much further than you might anticipate . No mater what style of rider , I think you could find your preference in this engine .
ELECTRONICS I like the Quick Shifter option . I didn ’ t see any issues or experience any downfall from its actions . In fact , I don ’ t even remember noticing it . I also never missed a gear so it works spot on like it should . The traction control … I have no desire for . This isn ’ t a Triumph thing ; it is the same on any bike I have tried . TC retards the ignition and delivery of the engine and , to me , it makes the power delivery unpredictable . No , I want to know that if I twist the throttle , the power will come - even if that ’ s a mistake of mine . I just personally don ’ t like TC on dirt bikes . The mapping I do like though , and the two options are noticeably different . Running the stock map was the best one for my riding and bike performance – just the same as I found in the US .
