adventure . It ’ s approachable , predictable , and , most importantly , just plain fun . But … also no , because , well , here ’ s the truth : over the last few months , it ’ s started to fail my ‘ look back ’ test . You know the one , when you park your bike and walk away … and find yourself compelled to glance back over your shoulder to admire it . If that doesn ’ t happen , you ’ ve maybe bought the wrong bike . And while the GSX-8S gets so much right , I can ’ t help but feel that its sister machine , the fullyfaired GSX-8R is a better-looking bike . Further to that , I ’ ve realised the GSX-8S is just not quite right for me . It ticks every box on the checklist , but somehow , even though it ’ s done everything right , I ’ ve just not ‘ fallen for it ’. It ’ s a great bike , just not ‘ my ’ bike . The GSX-8S could easily be ‘ the one ’ for you , and I would encourage anyone to take the GSX-8S for a test ride . It ’ s got all the ingredients for a great relationship . And like the end of any relationship , it ’ s time to move on , but the GSX-8S and I have had some great moments , and it ’ s rekindled my love for road bikes . For that , thank you Suzuki .
