Last year ’ s WorldSBK season saw Toprak Razgatlioglu , arguably one of the most talented riders in any series , do what most people thought was impossible by delivering the championship title to the previously underperforming BMW Motorrad Team . Nicolo Bulega , 2023 World Supersport champion , who moved up to Superbikes for 2024 and joining Alvaro Bautista in the Aruba . it factory Ducati team , was Toprak ’ s closest challenger although the final points tally flattered Bulega a little as Razgatlioglu missed a couple of rounds after sustaining a chest injury in a crash at Magny-Cours .

FACTORY TEAMS Going into the 2025 season of WorldSBK , there ’ s not a lot of change in rider lineups at the top end of town . Razgatlioglu returned alongside Michael van der Mark in the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team . Bulega , unsurprisingly , stayed with Aruba . it Ducati and , after some speculation as to whether he ’ d return for 2025 , two-times WorldSBK champion Alvaro Bautista signed up for another year with the Aruba . it team . Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani both stayed with
Jonathan Rea talking to team boss Paul Denning before the first WorldSBK test session where he crashed himself out of the meeting .
