It’ s been some nine years since my last enduro race. That sounds ridiculous when I write it down, but that was my reality heading into Round 3 of the 2026 NCES( National Club Enduro Series) at Ohakuri / Atiamuri, south of Tokoroa. So, naturally, the best way to ease back into it was to pick up a brand-new Triumph TF250-C on Friday night and race it Saturday. No pressure.
THE BIKE The TF250-C is Triumph’ s 250 cross-country model. It shares plenty of DNA with the TF250-X motocross machine, but comes fitted out for off-road racing with the kind of parts you actually want for a club enduro or crosscountry event: an 18-inch rear wheel, bigger fuel tank, sidestand, handguards, bash plate, enduro tyres, and KYB suspension with crosscountry settings.
