TRIUMPH TRIUMPHANT IN MX2
The MXGP of France saw the British brand take the top two spots in MX2 for the overall, their first 1-2 result. Guillem Farres had the perfect weekend,
taking maximum points with a perfect
scorecard and hard-charging teammate Camden McLellan taking a third and a second, good enough for runner-up for the round. The racing was great and despite being teammates, McLellan put a bunch of pressure on Farres in the second moto – no team orders getting in the way. The team were celebrating the landmark result, showing just how far they have come in what is a ridiculously short time. No longer the newcomers or underdogs, Triumph are now firmly established in the top echelon of motocross.
RED BULL KTM UNTOUCHABLE AT FINLAND ENDUROGP
The dynamic duo of Josep Garcia and Andrea Verona handed their team the perfect result with their one-two podium in Finland. The result sees them first and second in the EnduroGP class as well as leading their respective Enduro1 and Enduro2 classes. Again, being totally biased Kiwis here, we also need to add that Hamish Macdonald is in third place in the Enduro2 standings and also scored third on Day 1. It was a tussle between the top two over the weekend as the sections favoured one then the other to make the racing even better. In fact, both Garcia and Verona won a day apiece but when it all tallied up, it was Mr Consistent, as in Josep Garcia who came out of that battle on top.
