BSA has come back into the market at an interesting time. The brand was purchased in 2016, under the name Classic Legends PVT Ltd, owned by the( huge) Mahindra group who seemed to be looking to capitalise on the classic neo-retro interest that was being driven by Royal Enfield, Triumph, Moto Guzzi and others. BSA relaunched in
2021 with its classic, famed hero, the Gold Star, right into the teeth of Covid 19- although the machines didn’ t make it here to NZ until May 2024.
