BETA 450RX 2025 UPDATES The Beta 450RX was first released in 2024. The second version for 2025 sees minimal changes. The suspension valving specs have been updated this year and there are now rubber mounts for the bar clamps where previously there were none. A better battery for starting duties finishes off the small list of updates. Short and Sweet. helps improve square-edge compliance and straight-line stability. The revised shock works better over rough terrain than last year’ s, and the chassis stays more planted overall. The 450RX doesn’ t snap into turns as sharply as its Japanese or Austrian rivals, but having said that, once you’ re leaned over, it holds a pretty steady and predictable arc, feeling composed through the turn. The internet said that lowering the fork height slightly in the clamps and adjusting sag to around 102 – 105mm would help improve turn-in without compromising high-speed stability too much. I tried this setting and I believe it was for sure a step in the right direction, there are still plenty more hours to come to arrive at a definitive decision on this, but it’ s a good starting point. Straight-line stability is one of the Beta’ s strong suits. The steel frame and balanced suspension package combine to give the bike a calm, predictable feel at speed. It tracks straight through
braking bumps and doesn’ t deflect or twitch unless you’ ve completely messed things up. This is where the softer valving pays off for intermediate riders or anyone just stepping up to a 450.
WHO’ S IT FOR? Less aggressive riders, vets, weekend warriors, or off-road crossover types will appreciate the stock suspension, which offers real comfort and makes for a confidenceinspiring ride. It offers a lot of feel and traction without beating you up. The chassis is forgiving and absorbs braking bumps well. Expert-level motocross riders will likely find the limits of the stock suspension pretty quickly, due to its softness. But in reality, this is something that isn’ t foreign to any brand of bike. The 2025 Beta 450RX suspension package is a solid base for racers looking for a comfortable and stable motocross platform. It’ s plush, calm, and predictable, with excellent straight-line stability and decent cornering manners once set up right. And for those who need more, the KYB hardware is fully capable of being dialled in any way you want.
In short, it’ s soft and friendly out of the box, but with real performance potential hidden just under the surface. There’ s more riding to be done, obviously. Stay tuned.
