LAST MANI STANDING

Erzbergrodeo is legend. To win Erzbergrodeo is pretty special. Manuel Lettenbichler, or Mani as he gets called by pretty much everyone, has now scored four victories in a row at the iconic hard enduro. Not rushing or taking too many risks in the prologue, he did enough for a front-row start and had the hard-charging Billy Bolt setting a frenetic pace up the front. Trying to just keep Bolt in his sights and riding cleanly in the opening sections, Mani’ s confidence in his abilities in the tree section saw him confidently close in on Bolt, who made a few small errors. That was enough for Lettenbichler to dart through and take the lead. From there, he managed to steadily increase the gap and ride his own lines, knowing he was not at risk of an imminent pass from Bolt. Once he could just ride his own ride, he showed why he is the man to beat at Erzbergrodeo. Already looking forward to next year’ s event, he is hoping to match Taddy’ s record. Meanwhile, the hard men of enduro are currently in the USA for the Silver Kings round in Idaho.
