Despite battling a back injury and having limited time on the bike in recent weeks, Josep Garcia again showed why he is leading both the EnduroGP and Enduro1 categories. Day One saw the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider lead the Enduro1 class on his KTM 250 EXC-F but second in the EnduroGP class to Zach Pichon. Although not winning the opening day’ s racing, Garcia was happy with the progress on his back injury and came out fast in Day Two, taking the overall win and both class wins to round out a successful recovery and, crucially, extend his lead over Andrea Verona( GASGAS) and Zach Pichon( TM). The Swedish round was on tough terrain, even for the top riders, navigating the course at pace was a real confidence boost as Garcia wasn’ t expecting to be on the pace so early in his recovery.
