CFMOTO JOINS KIDS E-BIKE RACE

While the electric motorcycle market is somewhat flagging over in the road world , the dirt arena continues to grow with CFMOTO now offering two models targeted at kids . Kids e-bikes make a tonne of sense , with their low maintenance needs , easy to modulate power and safety features baked in . CFMOTO has joined in with the CX-2E and CX-5E . Expanding from combustion engine motorcycles to the innovative electric market , these new models are designed to provide young riders with a safe , fun and environmentally friendly riding experience . Both the CX-2E and CX-5E are equipped with a 48V 24Ah lithium-ion battery , ensuring a longrange for maximum riding fun . The CX-2E offers a run range of approximately 78 kilometres under ideal conditions , while the larger CX-5E provides a range of 60 kilometres . CFMOTO says the batteries are protected to the level of IP66 , ensuring durability and safety . Additionally , the batteries are swappable with a simple , quick-release mechanism , making it easy to replace and continue the fun without lengthy downtime . A big plus when you ’ re out enjoying a trail ride away from the main power grid . Setting the CX bikes apart from the competition , CFMOTO has integrated the

e-motor and proprietary controller into a single , space-efficient unit . The innovative design includes the use of high thermal conductivity glue to maintain the motor ’ s internal temperature within the optimal range for efficient operation . Riders can monitor battery consumption , charge levels , and selected gear settings from a single , convenient interface . The CX-2E features a 48V-BLDC e-motor with a maximum power output of 1.2kW and 6.4Nm of torque , delivering smooth and controllable power for young riders aged 4-7 years . The bike can accelerate from 0 to 20 km / h in just 2.6 seconds , with a top speed of 24 km / h . The CX-5E , as its designations implies , is designed for older riders ( stated as those aged 8-12 years ) and boasts a more powerful 48V-BLDC e-motor with a maximum output of 1.5kW and 7Nm of torque . CFMOTO claims accelerationfrom 0 to 20 km / h in 2.1 seconds , reaching a top speed of 44 km / h ( 27 mph ). Both models offer three drive modes , allowing parents to adjust speed settings to match their child ’ s skill level . Both are available in limited numbers in New Zealand with pricing competitive against internal combustion options on the market . The CX-2E is priced from $ 2490 and the CX-5E enters the market at just $ 2890 .
