to do practice and qualifying as the bike had issues , so I want to go back next year with my own bike . I ’ m looking at buying a KTM and getting to know it before the race .”
You ’ re heavily involved in the motorcycle community - what do you love about it ? “ I love organising and connecting the community . I ’ m heavily involved in the Ducati Official Club New Zealand and I was one of the founders of Christchurch Moto Social . I love promoting things and bringing people together . I ’ m naturally gregarious and I ’ ve always been quite social , and I love the challenge of growing a club or activity . The Ducati club is really thriving in Christchurch and Moto Social has grown from 80 people at the first event to over 300 two years later . People in the motorcycle community have a huge amount of loyalty , and they really back you when you start something up . They ’ re always onboard with whatever you ’ re trying to do and it ’ s really special . I love encouraging people to give something a go . If I see someone wavering or lacking in confidence , I support them to get the courage to give it a go . I ’ m especially keen to help change the landscape for women riders and get more women into riding and racing .”
