The following day almost 100 motorcycles gathered on Hood Street to replicate the club ’ s famous 1920s photo with a fine line-up of motorcycles of the period . 49 riders then made their way to the top of the Kaimai hill , which is the place where the idea of forming the Hamilton Motorcycle Club was first discussed . Not forgotten , a trials demo day was held on Easter Monday to cap off a fine anniversary .
All this time the HMCC staged a 60 bike display in the local Classics Museum spanning some three weeks , titled ‘ Through the Decades ’, where road , race , scrambles , motocross and trials machines from each decade were featured to represent the clubs 101 year Journey . 101 years being a key number to the celebrations after two disruptive 2020 Covid-19 related postponements .
