THE WORLD IS BACK AS IT SHOULD BE. COURTNEY DUNCAN IS BACK ON THE PODIUM
Yes, our very own 4x World Champion is back and looking like her old self on a bike. At the Foxhills round of the FIM WMX Championship series, that name was back and all of her rivals know what that means. Third for the round included a second in one moto but the controversy was about the gate issue. Despite qualifying fourth, she was gated in nineteenth. So, what does the determined Kiwi do? Use the first two laps to regain her position … then hunt down the runaway leaders. Close but no cigar. Next moto, right up there and challenging. Courtney is now also third in the standings, so
10 KIWI RIDER the leaders are looking over their shoulders with good reason. Miss an entire season due to heart issues, fight tooth and nail to regain your health, as in the first priority. Then regain that insane level of fitness that is Courtney Duncan. Then the need for speed. It is jaw-dropping to see her back at the pointy end of the racing, battling with the very best in the world and looking like the multiple World Champ she is. The weekend will do wonders for her confidence and send the heebie-jeebies down the spines of her rivals. They all respect the talented Kiwi but her resilience will have them worried. We’ re more than just a little bit proud.
