World Championship was held in Idaho, deep in the U S of A and it was Mitch Brightmore on his GASGAS that came out on top after a suitably impossible weekend of racing. Behind the British rider were the Canadian, Trystan Hart( KTM), and series leader, Mani Lettenbichler( KTM). While Lettenbichler maintains his place at the top of the standings on 88 points, that pesky Brit is now only 13 points in arrears on 75 and Teodore Kabakchiev, the Bulgarian rider on his Sherco, is only 7 behind him on 68 points. From the USA the hard men head to Sweden for the next battle on August 20-22, Sweden’ s first ever appearance on the tour, so nobody really knows quite what they are in for. Our guess is the Swedes will want to make a memorable debut, so it will be H. A. R. D. Maybe the odd Viking beserker lurking amongst the terrain to keep the lads on their toes …
