As a 25-year-old uni student from Auckland, I’ m unlikely to be what anyone would reasonably describe as a‘ cruiser guy’. My usual taste in motorcycles leans more toward things that encourage questionable throttle decisions, rather than relaxed Sunday rides to cafés where flat whites and avocados on toast can blow out my weekly budget. So, when I first swung a leg over the CFMOTO’ s 450CL-C cruiser, I expected to respect it more than I liked it. It turns out, the small-bore cruiser had other plans.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS I had a few comments from strangers saying it looks great. And I agree with them. It’ s gorgeous. Properly gorgeous. The colour proportions are tidy, the stance is low and confident, and the whole bike manages to look premium without trying too hard.
