BASSANI Bassani qualified in 7th and really got down to business come race time and was thoroughly impressive in Race One and the Sprint race, scoring 4th and beating Lowes in both. He was on his way to a famous 3rd place finish in Race Two when he crashed out and his disappointment at throwing away a possible podium finish was plain to see. He noted postrace that he’ d been pushing the front hard all race but overdid it in Turn 8 trying to get some distance between him and Barni Spark’ s Yari Montella, who was sitting in 4th at the time. Regardless, the weekend was the best he’ s given us this year.
