Having a rider attempt a risky at best pass that took his front wheel out, both riders crashed at 245km / h. The fastest corner at Assen is not a place where you want things to go awry but, luckily, neither rider was badly hurt. It did look like the slide would have been scary but Buchanan seems to have taken it in his stride and is laser-focused on showing his potential at the Sachsenring round. Seriously, if you have been hiding under a rock and have not seen the save in qualifying, go and remedy that deficiency as soon as you can.
