Founded in 1901, Indian Motorcycles has a rich history in racing and roaring down the highways and byways, and they are just getting warmed up. The company has kicked off a marketing campaign with the unusual theme of‘ never finished’ as in not finished pushing the boundaries. George Hendee and Oscar Hedstrom built their first bike 125 years ago. Both men were competitive cyclists and slipped into the powered bicycle game before heading into motorcycle racing and production. By 1913 they were producing 30,000 machines per year. That number meant they were the world’ s largest motorcycle manufacturer at the time. Surviving the trysts of the game and still determined to make bikes and race, the company’ s baggers have entered the race world with a spectacular old grudge match against a certain long term rival and it is glorious to watch. The spirit of that rivalry has not faded...
