400s are the hot market segment right now, and hot on the heels of a couple of cracking Triumph 400cc sleds is the Scrambler 400XC, the company’ s most gravel / road friendly yet. Looks wise, it’ s straight up classic scrambler. A timeless look we’ ve come to expect from the Triumph’ s modern classics range, with some styling cues taken from the scramblers of old. It’ s a smart looking machine with some great colour options including a classic scrambler yellow and black. It not only looks the part, but performs too. The power is pleasantly surprising, the powerplant smooth and torquey, not feeling like the usual single-cylinder thumper, it has no issues getting up to or running at highway speeds. The Scrambler 400XC is a fun bike at a good price point covering a huge variety of riders including learners, commuters and experienced riders alike. It is an almost-do-anything-bike, and it does gravel and tarmac with ease. Maintenance is easy and servicing is every 16,000km or 12 months, backed up by a two-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
