fine. Self cancelling indicators would have been nice but I understand Triumph has a price point to hit. Looks wise, it’ s straight up classic scrambler. A timeless look we’ ve come to expect from the Triumph modern classics range, with some styling cues taken from the scramblers of old. It’ s a smart looking machine with some great colour options, including a classic scrambler yellow and black, and my pick which is the beautiful white and black combo. A high front fender, short and high rear fender, twin upswept silencers, adventure tyres, motocross style bars, handguards, flyscreen, crash bars and a skid plate complete the look. The finish is very good, with some nice brushed alloy look parts to give an authentic vibe. The 400XC really does offer that‘ Great Escape’ aesthetic and feel but before you go trying to jump any fences, remember you’ re not Steve McQueen...
