His only“ failure” was when he low-sided his bike off the track at the hairpin in the first race of the weekend at Manfeild.“ I was my own worst enemy this year,” said Mitch Rees,“ that was two years in a row now that I’ ve crashed out of a race at Manfeild. I had to work hard to make sure I won everything else after that.“ My goal this year was to make history, to do something that’ s never been done before, and I achieved that.“ To get my name on the Robert Holden Memorial trophy four years in a row was absolutely mega too.“ It has been something of a development year for me as we try out different things with the bike and I’ ll be ready to face up to some bigname international riders expected to come over for this series next season.”
