Part adventure-lite and part city slicker, Kawa’ s Versys-X has that little bit of something special.

Of course, the first thing to occur after leaping aboard Kawasaki’ s new entry into the sporty 300 market, was a letter from the law advising that I owed them money. Given that I was out beyond Kumeu, and heading along some lovely winding roads and under the limit by what I assumed was about 5-6 kph, I was annoyed to receive this. But the Versys-X is such a cheery little motorcycle, I soon forgot about it and considered it a sort of‘ tax on joy’, grasped at by a punitive local administration. Look I have been corrupted by raw power in recent months with close to 200 horses at the command of my right wrist, and never received a ticket, but … I digress. Sorry. Anyway, the Kawasaki 300 Versys-X is a fun bike.
