CZECH BRAND PRAGA REBORN

It may look a tad bizarre , but there is a good reason the new Praga ZS 800 looks the way it does . While far from a household name , Praga is a Czech Republic-based manufacturing and engineering company which is making the ZS 800 as a modern reimagining of the 1928 Praga BD 500 . If the Praga name sounds vaguely familiar , that ’ s because they are the same team behind the acclaimed Praga Bohema hypercar . With that heritage in mind , it ’ s no surprise that the new Praga ZS 800 combines a suite of advanced motor racing production processes and materials with the character and design details of its 1928 BD 500 ancestor . Sporting a chrome molybdenum steel frame

and titanium exhaust system , as well as unique woven carbon wheels , the ZS 800 weighs just 142kg dry ( 158kg wet ) and sports a 50:50 weight distribution . Power figures are modest at 50hp and 65Nm claimed through the ZS 800 ’ s air-cooled , 773cc four-stroke parallel twin engine . We know power isn ’ t everything and Praga promises that the bike will deliver a riding experience certain to stir the soul . Praga only plans to produce just 28 examples of the ZS 800 which are priced at an eyewatering € 86,000 or about $ 145,700 , with deliveries starting mid-2023 . The first example of these unique motorcycles already has been snapped with it heading to a client in ( you guessed it ) Dubai .
