tell you not to be such a lazy slob but once at the recommended speed limit, top is starting to be useful. In short, it likes to rev if you are seeking rapid progress. The motor sounds great when you indulge it.
DOES IT MAKE ME LOOK GOOD? It is good, just not that good. As long as I kept my dark visor down and the pies controlled by a back protector with gut.. I mean kidney... belt, it was all good. The bike, on the other hand, runs its own style, and I get that. A one-piece indicator-tail-light unit, again, manufacturing efficiency to the fore, looks kinda cool and works well. Bust it and you have to replace the whole unit but that is not going to make you sell your first-born child into the legions or anything, so that is ok. Besides, the crusades have apparently finished and nobody wants your 30-year-old-living-at-home-kid. I like the style, being a bit left field and quirky. The NK was finished in that new-age grey. The first time I saw the new trend in the car industry I thought ol’ mate had been on a bender, skipped work on Monday and a bunch of European cars went from the primer bay to the clear coat and polish team without seeing anyone wielding a spray gun in the colour shop, but no, it is, apparently, a thing.
CUT TO THE CHASE Ok, so at $ 12,990 + ORC for the sporty SR-R and $ 12,190 + ORC for the naked NK, the bikes do ask some serious questions. A 675cc triple for under $ 13k does make you take a look at what you are wanting. Sure, despite a couple of prestigious European brands having done 675cc triples, this is not that. It is also not at the same price point, so the like-for-like deal falls over. Are they the perfect mid-sized bikes? Perfect is such a weird concept, so no, not perfect, there are a few things to tidy up. Good? Yup, no doubt. As I mentioned earlier, they are priced aggressively and represent a lot of motorcycle for a disproportionately small bag of money. They do also signal that the industry has more players than it did in the fairly recent past.
+ GREAT VALUE. MODERN LOOKS. TRIPLE MOTOR. – LOW REV FUELLING.
