a pricier option, you can see where production expediency has made for some sacrifices but also some clever engineering, all aimed at delivering more for less. Some of the streamlining is obvious once you look down while sitting astride the SR-R. The top triple-clamp incorporates the‘ clipon’ handlebars. It is a one-piece affair, so no adjustment is available if that was an issue for you. Not an issue for me as they felt fine for my wrists. If anything untoward happened, as in a spill, you might need to replace the entire T but the cost to do so is less than many OEM handlebars anyway.
675SR-R ON TRACK AND ROAD From there, once I had ridden both, it was
obvious that the SR-R was, in my humble opinion, where they started. Why? Because it handles so well that I suspect it is not a sported-up naked with a dress on. More-so, I think the NK is an undressed SR-R, which makes sense as it will never be quite as sharp with the upright riding position. Speaking of riding position, I sneaked off to the track( Hampton Downs club circuit) on the SR-R and did somewhere around 100 laps, because I am greedy. Anyway, despite riding an hour there and back as well, I wasn’ t in bad nick at day’ s end. The next day may well have seen two paracetamol washed down with the first coffee of the day but for an old b @ stard, that’ s not too bad for a head-in-the-shed bike and a lot of laps, many with the old fulla hanging off
