( Lecuona and Vierge ) and BMW ( Redding and van der Mark ) stay the same as they were in 2022 , so we can expect the Bautista , Razgatlioglu and Rea fireworks to continue into 2023 . Rinaldi and Locatelli were a little inconsistent in 2022 , both in their second seasons with factory teams , but they ’ re young and talented and could be podium regulars as the season progresses . After more than a few years in the World SBK wilderness , the Honda team finally seemed to be making progress and has a strong line up with Lecuona and Vierge which could result in a strong showing in 2023 . It ’ s hard to predict how BMW ’ s season will play out as 2022 ’ s results would have been a little disappointing given the experience Redding and vdM bring to the show .
SATELLITE TEAMS & NEW FACES In the notable satellite teams , Axel Bassani ( Ducati Motocorsa Racing ) and Philip Oettl ( Ducati GoEleven ) stay with their respective teams and both have the capacity to score regular points . Garrett Gerloff leaves the satellite GRT Yamaha team to join Loris Baz at Bonovo Action BMW and hopefully we ’ ll see a return to the form we know he ’ s capable of . Baz himself can never be counted out of the equation and , whilst his results were hit-andmiss in 2022 , he ’ s still a force to be reckoned with .
