Dynamic are the options . Rain cuts power noticeably , mainly above 4000rpm . Road is great for general use , but I liked Dynamic most , mainly for the added response at all revs while still being very user friendly . Very few bikes have a better all tarmac roads power delivery for the competent rider . Roll-on passing power is a particular strength from this engine .
TRADITIONAL FRONT FORKS The chassis is steel tube mated to a single sided alloy swingarm incorporated with driveshaft and inverted telescopic forks ; there ’ s none of the GS ’ fancy Telelever here . Up front the , normal by other brands standards , 45mm forks are held by large triple clamps . Both ends have 140mm of wheel travel and the rear Paralever single shock has WAD . According to BMW this means the rear shock ’ s damping force is travel related , via an external strut along with a progressive spring and hand operated preload wheel adjuster .
