GSX-8S , but not-so-secretly been wishing for a top-quality exhaust system to release the soundtrack it deserves . Well , Slovenian exhaust maestros , Akrapovič have done just that , and released a new system for the GSX-8S and GSX- 8R . Akrapovič has launched its first in a new range of exhausts inspired by the concept shown at EICMA in November with the release of the Racing Line ( SS ) for the Suzuki GSX-8S and GSX-8R . This next-generation serial range is making its first appearance in the Akrapovič lineup on these Suzuki models , with more exhaust systems for other motorcycles being released later this year . The complete exhaust system comes as one unit , with no remapping required and a plug-and-play installation . It is constructed from high-grade stainless steel , with the catalytic converter welded inside the muffler . It is finished with a handmade carbon-fibre cover , and the outlet has honeycomb exhaust protection – just like those on the Akrapovičfitted MotoGP machines . There ’ s a power increase of 1.8kW ( 2.5hp ) at 9500 rpm and a torque boost of 1.4Nm at 5500 rpm compared to the stock exhaust system . While the power gains are small , the exhaust shaves off 2.2 kg compared to the standard system . It should sound heaps better too .
