Or through the streets at night to a Daft Punk soundtrack ( see Tron : Legacy ). I would contend it looks as though that could be done at some speed too .
THAT MOTOR You would be forgiven for thinking the 398cc single cylinder engine would let the bike down in that respect . I found it just about perfect for what the bike is . Don ’ t get me wrong , we ’ re not breaking any land speed records here , but , the 39.5bhp pushed out is more than enough to handle the motorway to and fro , and more than enough to be seduced by the engine ’ s low growl in the midrange . There ’ s a consistent throttle response through the rev range which offers enough pull to be exciting , and to get up to no good if one were so inclined . Topping out at around the 150 km / h mark , this motorcycle could handle an Auckland to Taupō trip with ease : gobbling up the klicks on the motorway , and having plenty spare to open up on the back roads .
