So , I purchased a new motorcycle recently , but … seemingly like most on the market , there was no provision for carting any of my gear around . I blame this for the lack of Xmas , New Year and general summer gathering invites . I fully understand that the thought of Kev turning up on his new bike with nothing more than a clean G-string , other than hot motorcycle clobber to wear after a dip in the pool could be problematic . Hence , after some diligent web-surfing , I now have sufficient storage for a change of clothes , a towel and some refreshments , as well as dry undies - and fully expect the invites to be forthcoming over the next few days . I shall check my letterbox regularly .
DIY MADE EASY Being a complete numpty in the tool-wielding world , I was pleasantly surprised by the straightforward , plain language instructions that came with the Ventura system . No special skills nor tools are required and , to be blunt , any fool could do it . Just take your time and it all makes sense , no swearing or cursing required . This is possibly a result of being made by Kiwis , based in Hamilton . Yep , Kiwi made . So , yes , a box of beer fits easily into the rugged looking top-box with ease . And you can alter the fore and aft positioning easily , due to the grid on the base platform , so if you don ’ t take a pillion on your bike , you can shuffle it forward a smidge to centralise the weight , or if your pillion likes some room between them and you , for whatever reason , that is doable too . Taking the top-box off is a simple task , merely remove the tidy liner , undo a single knurled knob and the front slot-in zone lets you slide it back an inch or so and there you have it , a tidy platform with no obtrusive bits , so it looks tidy even without the top-box – nice . With just the box carrying my kit to some summer gathering , I can lane-split with
