Cardo’ s Packtalk Pro offers worthwhile updates including Crash Detection and better sound.

I

’ ve rolled with a Cardo for quite a few years now, more than five. I was always of the view that I wouldn’ t like another voice in my helmet, it just wasn’ t for me. But after KR contributor Ray Heron and I put them on our helmets one wet weekend in Taihape, I changed my mind. From chatting about what you’ re up to, that you need a piss stop, you’ re hungry, warning of a ute coming around a blind corner or listening to a podcast or music, I’ ve been converted to the use. Five years on I’ ve still got that original Packtalk Bold, nowadays it’ s on my partner’ s helmet for our ride outs together, while I’ ve upgraded mine to a Packtalk Edge. For the last couple of months I’ ve been testing the Packtalk Pro, which is visually the same as the Edge( also with the same magnetic‘ air’ mount) but comes with some new features.
