There was a big contingent of Airheads( air-cooled BMWs) in the throng, having been planning to come along with Michael Dobson for his last big ride( you can read his obituary HERE). Michael didn’ t make it, but his friends came along anyway to celebrate his long association with BMW machinery. Andrew Lawrence, one of Michael’ s oldest friends, rode Michael’ s bike to lead out a procession of Airheads at the head of the ride on Saturday morning, which was lovely to see.
